"Bunny Whipped" is an oddly engaging quirky movie about a sportswriter who becomes a town superhero. There are little gems of wisdom and some very amusing scenes. There is also Giggles, an adorable rabbit.
And yet, the movie doesn't have a sure footing. It's little know director, writer and stars drag scenes on too long and crowd the movie too much. There is a scene after the credits that is so dumb and irrelevant that one has to wonder why it wasn't deleted. There is also a borderline racism to the movie with the black rap star not only singing very badly but killing his rival (the amusingly named CrackerJack).
I loved the place names popping up on the screen and the superhero scenes are for the most part very funny, but the movie isn't quite sure what it wants to be and is too muddled.
Enjoyable, but nothing more.
