I thought it was the best episode of the season so far. Becker's conversation with Helen found him unusually open. Saying "I don't know" when she asked if there was somebody else was such an honest statement and the kind of direct answer he usually avoids. His genuine apology to Helen for cancelling on her at the last minute was touching, as was the desperation of Chris loneliness in making up Owen. Never have I seen Becker apologize to anybody with the kind of sincerity of his apology to Helen.
Perhaps most touching of all was the way he helped Chris after her groceries were all over the place. This is a new kind of caring about somebody. Who else would Becker have ever stopped to help after something like that?

The side story with Linda and Margaret was both funny and touching. Linda's voice was very funny, and it was both funny and moving that Margaret was stuck with her since Linda had gotten into the spirit.

This was one of the best episodes of the series to date.
