Perry Mason (only lawyer ever lived with ethics)

Perry Mason is one of my favorite shows, but ethics is debatable. Depends on what you mean by ethics. His ethical code was to help his client win at all costs, provided Perry believed the client was innocent. To do this, he broke every ethical rule that was on the books and many is the episode in which they threatened to bring him up on charges or try to disbar him. So, Perry lived by a kind of code of ethics, but it was totally his own code.

My favorite episode in this vein is when Mason calls the DA's office and leaves an anonymous tip that Perry Mason has a tape recording that has a bearing on the case.:D
